Baby Girl Sandals Have Choking Hazard

Falls Creek Baby, from American Boy and Girl, is recalling their baby girl sandals due to a choking hazard. If you’ve bought sandals from Meijer, check to see if they are included in this recall.

Recalled baby sandals

Around 1300 pairs of sandals are included in this recall. These sandals, which are Falls Creek Baby brand, were sold exclusively at Meijer stores.

Product Description: This recall focuses on Falls Creek Baby “Susan” sandals for infant girls. They were sold in three sizes — 3 to 6 months, 6 to 9 months and 9 to 12 months. They are white leather sandals and they feature three pink, yellow and purple flowers on the top. They also have a white strap that fastens with a hook and loop closure on each side of the shoe. The size and the words “Falls Creek Baby” are printed on the shoe.

Where/when it was sold: These recalled sandals were sold exclusively at Meijer Stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio from April 2013 to July 2013 for between $6 and $9.

Reason for recall: The top strap can be pulled loose, posing a choking hazard. There have been no reported injuries.

What you need to do: Consumers should take these sandals away from their children and contact the company for a refund.
