You've likely heard that carrying your baby a specific way predicts gender. There's not much truth to this - if any. I say "much truth" because some people really believe it, and the prediction comes true; but probably that's simple intuition. The myth is typically that if you're carrying high, or your belly is sticking out pretty far; it's a girl. If you carry down low, wide, and closer to your hips; it's a boy. This is mostly a fun game. You can find out your baby's gender from an ultrasound - although, even those have been known to make mistakes. You can also find out from genetic tests. Most mamas I know who knew the gender, just knew. I just knew. I wanted a girl (back then) but knew in my gut I was having a boy from the second I found out I was pregnant. My best friend knew too, right away. Many women I've known have known without a doubt - not all, but many. In one weird twist I know a couple where the male had a dream that they were having a girl baby - two nights before his wife told him they were pregnant. It was a girl. Weird. But not totally off the wall. People can be intuitive. However, how you carry is just a myth when it comes to predicting gender accurately.
