The baby's room got a complete makeover this week. After putting it off for a few months, I finally dragged myself in and spent hours scraping away the old border in the baby's closet that the old owners left because it was so "cute!"

(Another way of saying that they did not want to take the time to finish the job they started!) It wasn't nearly as horrendous a project as I imagined, and thankfully it took no more than a few days off and on.

We had a ceiling fan with a light fixture installed and then the painting was done as well. It took three coats of paint to hide the green walls! The yellow walls really compliment the wood molding and match the curtains beautifully. Now we just have to hang the closet organizer and shelves, assemble the rest of the furniture, and we'll be on our way. I ordered wallpaper accents called Wallies in moon and star shapes, which we'll be using to decorate. They are supposed to be really easy to remove, but only time will tell...

I also received the news this week that one of my friends is also pregnant! We have gone to school together since first grade and she got married last June. She is due in October, exactly 4 months after I'm due. It is so exciting that we'll be having babies so close in age!

At our final Lamaze class, we were visited by a pediatrician, who provided us some really great information about what to look for in a doctor, as well as general info about fevers, illnesses in children, and what to expect in regards to "well" visits and immunizations in the first few years. Our teacher really encouraged us to make an appointment to meet our pediatrician ahead of time. I added that to our ever-expanding list of things to do before the baby arrives. With only 11 weeks to go, I'm hoping we can get everything done!
