Season's story
I remember all the times I went to the hospital late at night, thinking I was in labor. Time and time again, I got sent home -- it was only Braxton Hicks. I thought I could tell the difference between the real thing and the false thing. Well, one morning at 2:00am, I got up to use the restroom. When I went to lay down, my stomach started to hurt. I couldn't alleviate the pain ,no matter how hard I tried. After arguing with my husband about whether or not it was the real thing, I finally left him alone to sleep.

My mom and I sat up until it was time to go to the hospital. At 7:30am, we left. I made a quick stop at McDonalds for breakfast. I didn't know how long I would be in labor and I didn't want to get hungry!

After waiting until 12pm, I was 4 centimeters, so they finally admitted me. I was begging for pain medicine. It was about 3pm when I finally got an intrathecal -- it numbed the uterus and nothing more. The only problem was it only worked on the left half.

A half-hour later, I was ready to push. I was scared at first. Then I kept thinking out loud, "Am I going to the bathroom now?" How embarrassing. As the clock got closer to 4pm, I was inching the baby out.

Finally, at 4pm exactly, I delivered Brandon, a 6 pound, 12.1 ounce baby boy. I was so happy. The first words out of my mouth were, "I'm not pregnant anymore!"

Hey, it may be the worst pain ever, but you get a beautiful baby out of all that agony. I think it makes it all
