Having a water park in a city that gets as hot as Phoenix does in the summer is absolutely essential. Luckily, the city was recently graced with this new 35-acre water oasis that happens to include some wet and not-too-wild fun for a baby, like the Soak ’em Playground as well as Monsoon Bay. Raging Waters

Aside from the dozens of adventurous slides and attractions at any of the three Raging Waters locations in California — Sacramento, San Jose and San Dimas — the parks also have lots of fun for babies at the Kids’ Kingdom, Splash Island and Little Dipper. There is also a sandy beach for messy fun. Bring along some plastic sand toys so the baby can build a castle or simply shovel and dump sand!

Tempe Beach Park

The Splash Playground at the south bank of Tempe Town Lake in Tempe Beach Park is ideal for babies and toddlers. Children enter the playground through a metal ring of clouds misting water onto its guests with thunder booming and lightning flashing. Babies will love the waterfalls, riding the toy whales and splashing through the “ocean.” The best part of this baby-friendly water park? It’s free. It doesn’t get much better than that for a splashing good time for a baby!
