Kim Kardashian is fuming after her luggage was raided on the way back home after the Cannes Film Festival. British Airways denies the charges, though what we want to know is why she had all that expensive swag in her luggage?
Kim Kardashian apparently went on a mega shopping spree while she was in Cannes, France at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. She didn’t get to bring the stuff home, though — someone stole a bunch of it en route back to the states.

“Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental & not replaceable,” the girlfriend of Kanye West tweeted on Monday. “What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There’s no sense of security & no trust!”
“Shame on you.”
Among the missing items were several pieces of Tumi luggage, designer purses and handbags worth thousands. That’s all replaceable, but that’s not the case for some vintage sunglasses given to her by her late father, Robert Kardashian.

We can snark on the lost designer gear, but the sentimental sunglasses? That’s sad.
British Airways is apologetic, but claim that the bags were not compromised in transit.
“We are continuing to investigate this matter,” an airline rep said in a statement. “Our customer traveled from Nice to Heathrow Terminal 5 to Los Angeles. Terminal 5 has some of the most sophisticated automated baggage systems in the world, which are able to monitor bags every minute of their time in the terminal.”

“At this stage, we have discovered no evidence to suggest that the bag in question was interfered with at Heathrow,” the rep continued. “Our investigation is also seeking to establish details of the bag’s passage through Nice [France] and Los Angeles airports.”
London Heathrow can be an absolute nightmare, but there’s no excuse for this. Sounds like it’s a hard reminder to Kardashian — and all travelers — to leave valuables at home while traveling.
