Sprout President Sandy Wax is excited about the network’s latest venture.

“Producing this new block for NBC will extend the reach of quality preschool programming beyond Sprout’s cable, VOD and digital platforms, affording millions of families the opportunity to watch quality preschool series that promote active, healthy lifestyles.”

NBC has a long and popular history with Saturday mornings. They’ve gone through several phases, including Discovery Kids (2002-06) and TNBC (1992-2002), which targeted teenagers with shows like Saved by the Bell and Hang Time.
