One Tree Hill preview: Bad boys and babies

It’s the beginning of the end. Wednesday night, The CW will air the first episode of the final season of One Tree Hill. But the long-running series won’t go down without a fight. There’s still plenty of drama ahead.

After nine years of hookups, breakups and births, One Tree Hill is coming to an end. The former teen drama that began in 2003, has grown into a primetime soap for adults.

Tonight, the CW will premiere the first episode of the ninth season entitled “Know This, We’ve Noticed.” It was written and directed by executive producer Mark Schwahn and reintroduces the show in a big way.

Schwahn told The Hollywood Reporter, “In a season that could have just been a look back or a pat on the back or something quiet and soft, I just really felt like let’s go out being forward thinking and challenging the audience a little bit.”

In the opener, Brooke and Julian start adjusting to their life as parents, while Haley and Nathan deal with a similar family problem. Quinn and Clay butt heads, and several faces from the past return to stir up trouble.

Last year, it was revealed that former headliner Chad Michael Murray would reprise his role as Lucas Scott during the final season. His character will be a welcome addition unlike Chris Keller (Tyler Hilton), Haley’s former suitor and Dan’s partner in crime. Keller will make his presence known, whether we want him to or not.

The characters will have their fair share of dark moments. Brooke has a public meltdown and Haley will have to identify a dead body. Who’ll be under the white sheet? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
