TVLine is confirming that Dermot Mulroney will be headed to New Girl in an attempt to woo Deschanel’s single character, Jess.
Here’s the scoop according to the site: Dermot Mulroney will play “a handsome, intelligent and wealthy gentleman who also happens to be the father of one of Jess’ students.”
An older man on the prowl? We’re warming to the idea, but it may take more convincing.
Like most relationships, they aren’t hot for each other at first, but their chemistry becomes unavoidable.
Many of you out there will remember Dermot Mulroney from his awesomely, fantastic role in My Best Friend’s Wedding.
This is still kind of weird. Her character is so, how shall we put this, not Mulroney-esque. Hey, it’s TV, we’ll have to believe in the unbelievable.
Either way, Dermot Mulroney’s character will set his sights on the New Girl beginning in March or April, according to the report.
