Would you watch Kathryn Bigelow’s Kill Bin Laden?

Before President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden had been killed, The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow was reportedly working on a movie about Bin Laden. Now that the real life ending has changed, rumor has it that additional scenes will be added to the movie. Would you watch Kill Bin Laden?

Kathryn Bigelow, who won an Oscar for The Hurt Locker, was already working on a movie called Kill Bin Laden when Sunday’s events unfolded and the world learned that Bin Laden had actually been killed.

Before President Obama announced that Bin Laden was dead, Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal, who worked with her on The Hurt Locker, were ready to begin casting. SheKnows predicts that perhaps some bigger actors will be interested in roles in Kill Bin Laden now that the ending is a little different and the entire world is focused on Bin Laden’s death.

Ch-ch-ch changes

The Hollywood Reporter says that Michael Fassbender was in the running, but that’s no longer the case. As of Friday, Joel Edgerton was reportedly the front-runner for the movie. But who knows where things stand now?

We wonder what’s going to come of the script. Surely the ending will be different. We’re pretty certain that Bigelow wouldn’t leave out the most important part of the real story.

Some speculate that they could scrap the project altogether because it’s likely that many other projects on Bin Laden’s death will be fast-tracked. Rumor has it that Bigelow and Boal are taking it all in and deciding what their next move will be.
