You know, it’s easy to find plenty of mama views on the experience that is pregnancy and birth. But what about dads?
Here are two dads who are currently talking about pregnancy (and soon the experience of birth and parenting) plus a forum with way too many dads to count.
People In the Sun: This is a blog I read all the time. It’s not a pregnancy blog but the fellow who writes it is expecting a baby with his wife and posts about it enough to make it worth it for you to stop by. He did a great post recently on his wife and the baby. A spectacular read.
Inside Fatherhood: Just like it sounds, this is a trip through the mind of a dad. This dad is unique in that he’s expecting his first baby and that is what he blogs about. Names, feeding his wife, and ideas about just why does Oprah make pregnant women cry.
Brand New Dad: This is a hopping forum and these dads do discuss everything. It’s a great place for new and expectant dads.
Aside from being interesting to read as a mama these are great places to direct a potential dad so that he can get some dad-eye views himself.
If you have a partner (who is a fellow) what are some of his big concerns about becoming a papa? If you are a fellow yourself; what are you worrying about; or does it seem like it’ll be cake?
Thanks for these links, Jennifer. I’ve been looking for some good blokes talking about pregnancy. I’d discovered Inside Fatherhood already, but I’ll look into the other two. My wife is finished being pregnant (Yessss!), but I’m still interested in where the fatherhood journey begins for other guys. I wrote about it recently, with some help from a great book called The Female Brain.
Hey Joe… (I never thought I’d get to use Hendrix in a post here!) anyway, thanks for stopping by. I’ll have to take a look at the link to your writing. Not enough dads do that.
