Earn your mama merit badge!

Yup, mamas deserve a badge, just like the hard working girl scouts we are.

Check this awesome mama merit badge website out. I LOVE this idea. Cleverness and mama honoring — two of my favorite things.

For instance, if you can keep your cool the first time you go to change that baby boy and he pees all over your freshly showered self (yes it will so happen) give yourself a badge. Wear it proud!

There are all kinds of super mama badges; tantrums, breastfeeding, 1st trip to the grocery store, bedtimes, and more. I myself would have earned a travel badge early on.

When Cedar was about a month old we traveled from Portland, Oregon to Humboldt, California. Two months later we moved there. I’m not sure what we were thinking.

But I will say that it was tough. I was a brand new at breastfeeding, just getting to know my baby’s moods mama. My partner was clueless. A one day trip with a tiny baby turned into, well, let’s say a lot longer.
