Hello SK Style Watchers! What is one thing you can count on to reappear in fashion every spring and summer? Well it’s white, of course! And this year white is back in a big way, from the red carpet fashions to your favorite retail store. White is elegant, timeless, and yet, so now — which is why it’s my pick as favorite trend of the week!

The summer staple is back!

Let’s first talk about three white items that every woman needs to have in her closet this summer.

Quick tips

White looks amazing with neutrals, and it makes bright colors really pop! It’s chic and gorgeous when paired with gold and other metals. One other quick tip: Make sure your whites are white! When they start to yellow, it’s time for them to go.

A crisp, button-up shirt

This is a staple that you can wear to the office or dress down on the weekend. You could literally wear it every day! I love this boyfriend shirt from Nordstrom ($58)!

Little white dress

Forget the LBD, for summer it’s all about the LWD! White shows off your tan; it’s crisp and clean. Try this Oasis Lantern dress from ASOS ($113).

White pants

These are a basic for any summer wardrobe. My only caveat here is that you may have to kiss a lot of frogs, or in this case, try on a lot of pants, before you find the right pair for your body type. If the fabric is thin and the pockets show through, I recommend having the pockets removed and sewn shut. A good place to start is with these H&M pants ($25).
