We’ll admit it; we have a slight obsession with the always stylish and always put together Heidi Klum and Halle Berry — and yes, we spend countless hours flipping through gossip magazines wondering how they maintain their luscious locks while chasing their kids around. While they may have a team of hairstylists to help them achieve their looks, we check in with senior colorist, Charlene Dougan and master stylist, Allison Burr, owners of New York City’s MINTtheSALON for easy tips on how to get these two famous ladies’ looks at home in just minutes.

Heidi Klum

Color: “Hair should have highlights and lowlights,” Dougan says. “The highlights and lowlights would show variation in the hair color.”

Style: “You can use a beach spray, like Wella Ocean Spritz,” says Burr. “For a more polished, beachy look, you can use a curling iron and twist pieces around a curling iron and spritz each section with Wella Dynamic Fix Hairspray before curling,” she says. Tip: The hair really needs to be layered also to achieve this look.

Halle Berry

“There is no way to achieve this look without the proper haircut and product,” says Burr.

Style: “Hair may need to be relaxed to achieve this look,” says Dougan. “For hair that is relaxed, try Wella’s Smooth Brilliance to be used on dry hair only. If hair is fine and soft, try Wella Texture Touch to be used on dry hair also, and break down the product in the palm of your hands and then work product from scalp to end.” This will create that choppy spike. “Hair that is relaxed may need to be ironed, by taking sections and flat ironing in opposite directions,” she says.
