Flirty dresses for summer

It’s no question that summer dresses are a staple that hold many closets together during the often dreadful summer heat. We decided that there was no better way to learn the latest in dress trends than to go out and discover them for ourselves. What we found was a combination of bold prints, solids, short but sweet dresses and floor-length favorites that inspired us to search the market for summer dresses that you’ll love.

Three cheers for this trio and their style

We caught Nichole, Carrie and Krista on a girls’ day outing as they were heading to a movie. These gals sure had a similar and fabulous summer style. Their dresses complement each other and stand quite well on their own. Nichole told us her style was “very Banana Republic,” while Krista described her look as classy. These girls prove that summer is for short and long dresses alike and what better way to top off a great dress than with matching sandals and accessories? Depending on the pattern of the dress, pair it with a beaded or woven sandal and give the look a sophisticated spin by adding a round-faced watch that you can wear all year.

floral print summer dresses

Tori’s style is cute and comfy, Floral me that

Tori took a sunny day by storm in this light, stylish and comfortable floral print dress as she told us that her favorite store to pick through is Urban Outfitters. Tori inspired us to play with florals in order to highlight the sensible fashion sentiment that she flaunts so well. We handpicked some summer dresses that line up with her relaxed look that she described as “laid back and cute.” As we went about recreating Tori’s look, we experimented with the many ways you can wear floral prints. Since she deemed Rachel Bilson her style icon, we went for dresses that were bold but basic. For a completed look, pair a pattern like Tori’s with a leather belt. For another wow-factor, choose a dress with a more concentrated graphic. Ruffles are also ideal in moderation and a great way to add a little flare.
