Kate Middleton’s wedding hairstyle

Kate Middleton gives a thumbs down to the traditional wedding updo hairstyle. According to industry insiders, the royal bride-to-be will sport silky, free-spirited, flowing locks on her wedding day.

Forget the formal buns and chignons! Richard Ward, Kate‘s hair stylist, recently confirmed that the princess bride plans to wear her signature silky locks down and flowy on April 29.

Although most royals stick to complicated updos, Kate’s reportedly rejecting the trend to add a bit of casual romance to the formal affair.

And don’t count on the low-key Middleton to crest her crown with something sparkling. In lieu of the standrad tiara, Ms. Middleton’s said to want to wear flowers in her hair, inspiring the look to become the most popular style for brides in 2011.

Like make-up, hair should reflect the true natural of the bride, say experts. Kate’s gorgeous chestnut locks will be styled by a team of dressers at the Richard Ward salon in Chelsea, London and she’ll be getting ready at the Goring Hotel just down the road from Buckingham Palace.
