Sorry for the late start today - Cedar and I are feeling a tad ill. Because of that, we've been mostly sleeping. Let me tell you, I cannot wait for spring and hopefully these bugs going around will vanish. sick daysToday made me think about how easy it is now vs. then. Cedar's seven now, and it's hard when we're sick, but sickness when he was a baby; well, it was really tough. Sadly, babies don't care so much if you're sick. They still expect to be fed, changed, held, and played with. When the both of you are sick, it can be even worse. My best advice, if you can manage it, is to get some help if you're sick. You're not going to get better without rest. If your mom, or a friend can watch your baby for part of the day, you can rest up some, which allows you to be a better parent overall. If you're really sick, your partner may just have to miss work, or other obligations to help out. If this is not an option just take it as easy as you can - it's hard, but leave the darn chore for later. Your only job is baby care and rest.
