3 Easter candy cocktails that taste just like your favorite holiday treats

Easter is the one fine holiday where you can have your candy and drink it too.

Stores have been stocking Easter candy for weeks, and chances are some of it has already found its way into your home. If you’ve been waiting for Easter morning to fill up those baskets, here’s a good reason to sneak into the Easter Bunny’s stash: martinis! You can always restock before the kids ever find out what happened to their candy.

Jewel-colored jelly beans make a stunningly bright infused vodka. Try flavors like cherry or strawberry for a fruity and refreshing cocktail.

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce jelly bean-infused vodka*
  • 3 ounces Champagne
  • 1 lemon wedge

Directions:

  1. Pour the vodka into a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake to chill.
  2. Add the Champagne, and squeeze the lemon wedge into the shaker.
  3. Stir gently, and strain into a glass.

*To make jelly bean-infused vodka, place 1/2 cup of vodka and 1/4 cup of jelly beans in a glass jar for about 48 hours. Strain. Makes 4 ounces. (Use 1 color of jelly beans for best results.)
