Taylor Swift and Patrick Schwarzenegger were seen cozying up over the holiday with Schwarzenegger’s famous family.
Taylor Swift has long been vocal about her admiration for the Kennedys, and it’s looking like there is a possibility (however slight) that she could be one someday.
Swift spent the week in Massachusetts with the famous family.
“The 22-year-old singer was spotted getting friendly with the Kennedy clan over the Fourth of July holiday,” said the NY Daily News, “namely with hunky Patrick Schwarzenegger, the 18-year-old son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.”
Swift showed up at the Ethel premiere in January. The film is a documentary about Ethel Kennedy. At the time, she spoke to Vogue about her feelings for the family.
“The only time in my life I have ever been starstruck was meeting Caroline and Ethel Kennedy,” she said, according to the NY Daily News. “I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago. She is one of my favorites, because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody.”
The admiration seems to go both ways though.
“She really just loves my mother which is so sweet,” Rory Kennedy told ABC. “I’m a huge fan of hers, I have young girls and we had been to a few of her concerts. I met with her at one of them and she had read a ton of books about our family.”
Swift and Schwarzenegger have not talked publicly about whether they are dating but according to TMZ they at one point took a “private stroll along the beach.”
Swift appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show on July 4th, and DeGeneres asked about her boyfriend.
“I don’t have one,” she told the host. “I keep telling you that.”
When pushed by DeGeneres she said, “I don’t have like even kind of a boyfriend.”
Time will tell if the two are dating, but for now Swift seems content to be a part of the family she admires so much.
