Miley Cyrus is now mom to four dogs — she just rescued a week-old puppy from outside a Walmart near her home. Find out what she named her new little bundle of joy.
Miley Cyrus has a future in animal rescue if this whole Hollywood thing doesn’t work out. The actress just added a new four-legged family member on Wednesday: A puppy she rescued from a box outside Walmart.
“He was left in a box in front of Walmart. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel,” Cyrus tweeted, along with a picture of the puppy she named Happy. “We’re not 100% [sure] the breed we think Rottweiler Beagle mix :).”
Happy joins the three other dogs — Ziggy, Lila and Floyd — in Cyrus’ happy animal family.
“There’s times when I think we dont rescue them but they save us. He brings so much [love] into my life. We r BOTH so grateful,” the 19-year-old tweeted on Thursday afternoon, along with more pictures of the adorable pup.
“Happy is literally the cutest sweetest thing in the entire world! i haven’t put him down since we rescued him!”
The former Hannah Montana star has been getting into animal causes a lot lately — she tweeted for support and donations for animal charities earlier this year and fans responded. Sadly, not all fans had honest intentions.
“Just got told a lot of people saying they’re donating aren’t telling the truth 🙁 we need to save the animals & lying is hurting them…” she tweeted. “It makes me sad! All I want is 2 save the animals! Lying is hurting them more! I’d rather small amounts of $ than big lies!”

She also wants to play puppy matchmaker for her celebrity friends, including Khloe Kardashian.
“I want a puppy,” Kardashian wrote in March. “I just don’t know what kind I want … Hummmmmmmm decisions decisions.”
Cyrus was more than willing to help.
“@KhloeKardashian ohhhh let me help you find a rescue :),” she quickly replied. No word if they went animal rescue hopping together yet.
