Front row with Louise Roe at the Tibi show

SheKnows sat front row with Plain Jane host Louise Roe at the Tibi runway show at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week 2012 to get the style icon’s fashion tips on everything hot this season.

With her flowing red floral print dress, it was hard to keep your eyes on the runway instead of on Louise Roe at the Tibi show Saturday for New York’s 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion week.

When quizzed on the looks she’s loving right now, Roe told us, “Just loads of bright, bright colors. I’ve seen green trousers, red tights. Lots of bright prints, which I love.” It’s true! Roe was wearing a colorful dress with an interesting print as she sat front row to show her support for Tibi.

However, the looks that sailed down the runway reflected the forecast for fall which apparently will be highlighting graphic prints, leather and avian prints. We like! Tibi’s spring 2012 line was a simple kind of chic that leading ladies like Michelle Williams and Blake Lively are bound to be spotted in.

Roe taught SheKnows something interesting about Tibi: Amy Smilovic, the designer, is a full-time fashionista and mother of five children! Very impressive.

“Tibi is my favorite,” said Roe. “Amy, the designer, is this awesome woman with obviously incredible creative talent but also a cool line. And she has five kids, a great sense of humor and for me, if someone can do that and be amazing at fashion, I’m all over it.”

So are we, Louise! Who doesn’t love a powerhouse woman?

Roe also let us in on the fashion trends that she thinks might make a home run: Baseball caps were at the top of her list. Though she admits she is not sure if she could pull it off herself, she spotted the accessory at a party for Glamour and at Jill Stuart’s runway show.

Like many trendspotters and setters have said, Louise repeated the definite fashion trend that us ladies should all be wearing: bright colors and fun patterns.
